Mitsubishi Motors Hires Veteran Marketing Talent Ian Beavis As Senior Vice President of Marketing

CYPRESS, Calif., Nov. 24, 2003 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today named Ian Beavis as Sales Division Senior Vice President, Marketing, effective immediately. Beavis is responsible for marketing, advertising, incentives, corporate communications and product strategy in this new position.

"He has demonstrated strong leadership skills in numerous high visibility assignments as both an agency leader and a corporate marketing expert. His automotive knowledge is expansive, and he's recognized among his peers as being a creative change agent. Ian's fresh and innovative perspective will be critical as we expand the Mitsubishi product line, reach out to a wider range of customers, and create a brand with added depth and value."

Beavis, 50, successfully launched Boeing's first global campaign as president of Foote, Cone & Belding in Seattle and ran DaimlerChrysler's Asia Pacific account as senior vice president of Bozell-Detroit. He also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi for several years running Toyota business, including operations in Canada and the United States.

Beavis' experience spans from his first position at Ford Australia in marketing to his most recent position as co-founder of an independent marketing solutions provider in Northern California. He served as president of the International Advertising Association - West (2002-2003) and on the board of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
