Auto Writers Select the Cayenne(R) S and Cayenne Turbo for Annual Awards

The Porsche(R) SUV Earns "Best in Class" Titles at the 2003 Mudfest and the Texas Truck Rodeo Competitions

ATLANTA, Nov. 24 -- Members of the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) named the Porsche Cayenne S "Best In Class" in the Sport Utility Vehicle $45,001 and Above category at the 2003 Mudfest, the organization's 10th annual SUV competition. On the heels of this award, the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) selected the Cayenne Turbo as the best Luxury Priced Crossover SUV in the association's 2003 Texas Truck Rodeo.

In addition to its Mudfest category win, the Cayenne S finished second overall, scoring top honors in the acceleration, steering response, maneuverability, braking and off-road handling. The winners were announced during the 2003 Seattle International Auto Show.

Nearly 50 automotive journalists participated in the 10th annual Texas Truck Rodeo, an event that featured more than 54 SUV and truck entries from auto manufacturers from around the world.

This summer, AutoWeek magazine named the Cayenne the Best SUV/Off-Road Vehicle in its 14th Annual "America's Best" Survey. The survey by America's largest weekly car magazine was conducted entirely online, polling automotive consumers and enabling them to voice their opinion on their favorite cars, trucks and sport-utility vehicles
