Changan CM7 Mini, Production Starts January

Leading Chinese mini-vehicle producer, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co introduced the new generation of their minivans yesterday.

Code-named CM7, christened Leimeng after its Italian-designer Raimondi or known by its official designation SC6380 this is the first self-developed minivan from the Chang'an which was previously known for their license-built Suzuki Altos and minivans.

The car which rides on a brand-new platform is powered by Suzuki-derived 4-cylinder engines either with 1.0-liter or 1.3-liter capacity. Air-conditioning is standard.

Production will start next January.
