Deborah L. Morrissett Replaces Bernard Robertson As Chrysler VP Regulatory Affairs

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 20 -- The Chrysler Group today announced Deborah L. Morrissett as Vice President-Regulatory Affairs, effective January 1, 2004. The position reports to Eric Ridenour, Executive Vice President-Product Development.
Morrissett will be responsible for all regulatory affairs operations at Chrysler Group, including product analysis, vehicle safety, stationary, environment and energy, and environment energy regulatory planning. She succeeds Bernard Robertson, who has announced his intention to retire this year, after 38 years with the company.
"Deborah's leadership ability, along with her knowledge and diversity of experience within the Chrysler Group, makes her the ideal person to lead the next phase of our regulatory operations," said Ridenour. "At the same time, these operations are uniquely positioned because of the outstanding leadership and contributions of Bernard Robertson."
Since joining the Chrysler Group in 1975, Morrissett has held a series of increasingly responsible positions in Product Development, Regulatory Affairs and Procurement and Supply. Currently, she is Director-Electrical/Electronics in the Procurement & Supply organization.
Morrissett holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
