Mansfield Hosts June ASA Event in 2004

Pendleton,  Ind.  (November  18,  2003)  -  Continuing  a  rich  tradition  in  the  Buckeye
State, the ASA Racing Series makes a second consecutive trip to Mansfield Motorsports
Speedway  in  Northeast  Oho.  ASA  invades  the  .50-mile  oval  on  Saturday,  June  5,
marking the lone trip to Ohio in 2004.

"The ASA race at our track last year was thrilling for our fans and was a milestone for us
to  have  hosted  a  series  with  that  kind  of  history  and  reputation,"  said  Jerry  Smith,
Mansfield  Motorsports  Speedway  Director  of  Media  Relations.  "As  we  continue  to
improve MMS in making it what we believe to be the best total short track facility in the
nation, our support from the Mansfield area is growing as well as the developing interest
from the Cleveland and Columbus markets."

In 36 seasons of racing, the ASA Racing Series has developed a solid history in Ohio
with  46  events  having  been  held  there.  2003  ASA  Racing  Series  champion  Kevin
Cywinski won the June 250-lap race at Mansfield this past season. It proved to be the
second of his four wins on the way to the title.

The   new   Mansfield   Motorsports   Speedway   opened   on   May   9,   1999   after   being
converted into a .50-mile asphalt track that retained the high banking of the original dirt
track layout. In 2002, new light poles, lights and grandstands were added to the facility.
More than $16 million in improvements have been made including a six-story tower, 12
suites,  a  press  facility,  ticket  booth  and  concession  stand  as  well  as  bathrooms  and
7,200 permanent seats.  Additional seating is being added to reach nearly 20,000 by the
start of the 2004 season.

The ASA Racing Series completed its 36th season at Nashville, Tenn. in October.  Kevin
Cywinski, of Wausau, Wis., earned $200,000 for his 2003 National Championship while
Reed Sorenson, of Peachtree City, Ga., won honors as the $50,000 Rookie of the Year.

Both Cywinski, previously the 1997 series champion, and Sorenson will be honored at
the ASA  National Awards  Banquet  on  Saturday,  January  24,  at  Caesars  Indiana  hotel
Casino near Louisville, Ky.

The entire 2004 ASA Racing Series schedule continues to be formulated with a total of
18 events making up the expected final slate.
