Car.com Announces New Lead Quality Validation Process

DETROIT, Nov. 19, 2003 -- Today Car.com announced the implementation of its newest Lead Quality Validation Process. The innovative "Scrubbing" System sets a new industry standard for lead quality verification and works to ensure a consumer is serious about utilizing dealer-offered services.

According to David Wassmann, Chief Marketing Officer for Car.com, "Our unprecedented system incorporates over 20 verification processes to validate the consumer submitted information." George Stellweg, Car.com's Chief Sales Officer added, "We've listened to our partners. Quality is critical. This new Lead Validation process is just one of the many steps that we're taking to ensure delivery of only the highest quality leads to our partners."

Since the lead validation test was introduced in September, Car.com affiliated dealers have experienced increased lead quality and conversion.

"In the past 2 months, I've noticed a big difference in Car.com's lead quality," said Tony Edgington of Don Hewlett Chevrolet in Georgetown, TX. "We haven't had any wrong email addresses or phone numbers. Car.com has made a serious effort to help their dealers generate more business and keep their customers satisfied."

Keith Latman from North Bay Nissan in Petaluma, CA has witnessed similar success. "Since Car.com implemented its latest lead scrubbing technology, I have seen a definite increase in lead quality. We've sold over 20 cars in the last 30 days and look forward to continued success in the future."

According to Jenn Alio from Lester Glenn Auto Group in New Jersey, "Car.com takes countless measures to ensure accuracy of these leads. We have watched their product continue to improve and look forward to having a long relationship with them."
