OEConnection Named 'Best of the Web' by Forbes.com Third Year in a Row

RICHFIELD, Ohio, Nov. 18, 2003 -- OEConnection, founded just three years ago, has once again achieved a "Best of the Web" ranking from Forbes.com as one of the best business-to-business web solutions. The company, a leading provider of supply chain and order management solutions for original equipment (OE) automotive parts, was chosen for its effective and forward-looking use of online technology.

Organizations chosen as "Best of the Web" finalists were judged against five criteria: Content, Design, Speed, Navigation, and Customization. "By utilizing online technology, OEConnection helps its customers improve efficiencies, increase customer satisfaction and drive original equipment parts sales," says Chuck Rotuno, OEConnection's CEO. Currently, more than 11,000 dealerships and wholesale parts distributors, nationwide, use OEConnection products, all of which are accessed through the Internet.

For the 2003 list, Forbes.com editors reviewed more than 3,700 sites to identify those that offered site visitors and customers a positive, productive experience. The field was narrowed to just 85 companies in 21 categories. Across these categories, OEConnection is in good company. "Best of the Web" finalists include other well-known technology innovators such as IBM, Amazon.com, and WebEx.

"It's about automating and integrating the parts supply chain among the OE manufacturer, its dealers and each dealer's wholesale customers in the automotive community," says Rotuno. "The web helps us link these players and facilitate their parts locating, ordering, and purchasing processes."

OEConnection is a provider of technology solutions for automakers, their affiliated dealers, and others in the automotive parts marketplace. The Company provides franchised auto dealerships nationwide with D2DLink(R), a web-based parts locating and fulfillment service. The company also provides CollisionLink(R), an online service that enables collision shops to transmit orders for original equipment parts to franchised automobile dealerships.

A venture created by DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and ProQuest Company, OEConnection is headquartered at 4150 Highlander Parkway, Richfield, Ohio, 44286, just south of the city of Cleveland.
