Simula Receives Additional Order To Provide Body Armor for U.S. Army

PHOENIX--Nov. 1, 20033, 2003--Simula Inc (AMEX: SMU), announced receipt of an approximately $21 million order for its small arms protective insert (SAPI) body armor. The new order was received from the U.S. Army's procuring agency, the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia. Shipments are scheduled to begin in January 2005. The order is an option exercise for additional SAPI under the terms of an Army contract announced by the Company on September 29, 2003. On September 29, the Company announced a $27 million initial order, and on October 13, 2003, announced a second order under this contract for approximately $14 million.
