ASA to Open 37th Season at Lakeland On March 27

Pendleton, Ind. (November 10, 2003) - To kick off the 37th season of competition, the
ASA Racing Series visits USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla., for a 200-lap
event on Saturday, March 27, 2004. Florida's premier short track hosts the 2004 season
opening event of the ASA Racing Series for the fifth time as the race marks ASA's sixth
trip to the .75-mile oval.

Three-time  ASA  National  Champion  Butch  Miller  of  Michigan  won  this  past  season's
opener at USA International Speedway. Miller edged fellow podium finishers, eventual
2003  ASA  Racing  Series  champion  Kevin  Cywinski  and  $50,000  Rookie  of  the  Year
Reed Sorenson, to claim the first of his three wins during the season. Ironically those
three drivers finished in three of the top four points positions in the final standings of the
17-event 2003 season.

USA  International  Speedway  has  long  been  known  as  the  "largest  and  most  modern
special events short track in the southeastern United States." The track hosts a number
of  special  events  and  is  often  referred  to  as  "paperclip-like,"  with  two  long  straight-a-
ways and tight turns. MUSCO TV lighting, aluminum grandstand seating, extensive free
and convenient parking and free camping for self contained RVs are just some of the
amenities greeting fans.

"USA  Speedway  has  always  been  an  excellent  test  for  our  drivers  and  the  facility
provides  everything  we  need  for  an  event  as  important  as  the  season  opener,"  said
Steve Dale, ASA President/CEO. "I've enjoyed my experience there as the owner of a
winning car (Joey Clanton in 2002) and with ASA for our 2003 opener. The proximity to
Tampa and Orlando should be nothing but positive."

Seven-time  ASA  champion  Mike  Eddy  captured  the  initial  victory  for  the  series  at  the
track  in  February  of  1996.  Two-time  champion  Gary  St.  Amant  won  the  historic  2000
race  that  featured  the  debut  of  the  ASA  5700  fuel-injected  engine  and  BFGoodrich
Traction T/A radial tires package. Mike Garvey in 2001, Joey Clanton in 2002 and the
previously  mentioned  Butch  Miller  round  out  the  respective  winners  in  ASA  at  USA
International Speedway.

The ASA Racing Series completed its 36th season last month at Nashville, Tenn. Kevin
Cywinski,  of  Wausau,  Wis.,  was  crowned  the  series  2003  National  Champion  while
Reed Sorenson, of Peachtree City, Ga., won honors as the $50,000 Rookie of the Year.

Both Cywinski, previously the 1997 series champion, and Sorenson will be honored at
the ASA National Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 24, at Caesars Indiana hotel
Casino near Louisville, Ky.
