Robert Cowley Appointed Executive Director- Sales and Marketing at S-Y Systems Technologies, Inc.

DEARBORN, Mich.--Nov. 1, 20030, 2003--Robert Cowley has been appointed executive director of sales and marketing for S-Y Systems Technologies, Inc., a Siemens VDO Automotive and Yazaki North America joint venture company supplying electrical and electronic distribution systems, announced Robert Crumley, president.

Cowley is responsible for the management of all marketing functions and commercial sales activities for S-Y Systems car and truck programs, with particular emphasis on responsiveness to the rapidly changing requirements of automotive electronic and electrical distribution systems, continued customer satisfaction, and all S-Y communications, public relations and advertising.

"With his global automotive experience in engineering as well as sales and marketing, Cowley is a welcome addition to help lead our marketing efforts," noted Crumley.

Cowley was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for FCI Automotive for four years as well as vice president of sales and marketing for VDO, now Siemens VDO, where he was employed for 13 years.

Cowley is a Charter Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institution of Electrical Engineers in Europe. He was educated in England with degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering. He resides with his wife in Birmingham, Michigan.
