Motorcar Parts & Accessories, Inc. Board Approves Name Change to Motorcar Parts of America, Inc.

LOS ANGELES--Nov. 7, 2003--Motorcar Parts & Accessories, Inc. ("MPA") (OTC:MPAA), a leading provider of remanufactured starters and alternators for the automotive aftermarket, today announced that the Company intends to change its name to Motorcar Parts of America, Inc.

The name change proposal was approved by the Board of Directors and will be submitted for voting at the Company's annual shareholders' meeting to be held in December 2003.
