Caliber Collision Centers, an Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas, announced its co-sponsorship of the eighth Annual Walter's Children's Charity Classic Golf Tournament held on Nov. 3, 2003 in Riverside, Calif.
Started in 1996 by Steve and Cathy Kienle, Walter's Children's Charity Classic has raised over $1.1 million that has been used to purchase equipment, materials and services for the world-renowned Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. This year's event raised $250,000 that will go to benefit the pediatric craniofacial unit as well as the Fire Relief Fund, which supports children who have been displaced by the recent firestorms in Southern California.
"We have enjoyed our long relationship with Walter's Mercedes Benz and Porsche and the Kienle family and are proud to be a part of this important fundraising event for the eighth consecutive year," stated Matthew Ohrnstein, CEO and Chairman of the Board for Caliber Collision Centers. "Loma Linda University Children's Hospital is a critical resource to the Inland Empire and with the work done by Steve and Cathy Kienle as well as the dozens of other corporate sponsers and volunteers, we are able to make a difference in the lives of many of the children in the community where we all do business."
"We are gratified by the success of the golf tournament and the overwhelming support by the Inland Empire business community, said Steve Kienle, President of Walter's Mercedes Benz and Porsche and co-Chairman of the event. "From the event's inception, Caliber Collision Centers has been an active participant in this annual event and has brought out many of its own partners from the collision repair community."
