BRIDGESTONE/FIRESTONE INTRODUCES 20-INCH 

SIZES TO BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/P(tm) TIRE LINEUP

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 4, 2003) - Bridgestone/Firestone North American
Tire, LLC (BFNT) has added two new 20-inch applications to its popular
Bridgestone-brand Dueler H/P(tm) tire line: P275/45R20 106V and
P275/55R20 111S.  The tires will be on display in the
Bridgestone/Firestone booth (# 41917) at the 2003 SEMA (Specialty
Equipment Market Association) Show this week, and will be launched to
the aftermarket in the spring of 2004.

 

"More and more mid- and full-sized pickup trucks and SUVs are coming
factory-equipped with 20-inch tires, so adding these sizes is a way for
us to satisfy consumer demand for these larger tires when customers
visit our dealers and stores for replacements," said Phil Pacsi,

"With the OEMs trending toward these larger rim diameter tires, these
additions give us important offerings to satisfy a significant and
emerging market segment."

 

Designed with Bridgestone's flagship Potenza(r) S-03 Pole Position(tm)
ultra-high performance tire in mind, the Dueler H/P* brings high
performance looks and sporty handling to the pickup and SUV markets.

 

Aimed at consumers seeking the most performance from their truck or
sport utility vehicle, the Dueler H/P features an aggressive tread
pattern and black sidewall lettering with a wide profile for a sporty,
yet refined, look.

 

The Bridgestone Dueler H/P P275/45R20 comes with a UTQG rating of 300
for treadwear; 'A' for traction; and 'A' for temperature.  The
Bridgestone Dueler H/P P275/55R20 is rated at 300 for treadwear; 'A' for
traction; and 'B' for temperature.  Aside from these new fitments, the
H-speed rated Dueler H/P also is available in twelve popular 16- through
18-inch 70-, 60-, 55- and 50-series sizes and comes with the Platinum
Pact warranty and 30-Day Test Drive.
