Delphi Announces Significant Enhancements for its Advanced Diagnostic and Workflow Management Products

Enhanced Software, More Intuitive Advanced Diagnostic Routines Introduced

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4 -- Delphi Integrated Service Solutions, a business unit of Delphi Product & Service Solutions, part of Delphi Corp. , announced today significant software and database enhancements for its DS Series of wireless diagnostic and workflow management products. All DS Series products sold in North America now have advanced management suite tools to further enhance Delphi's unique Smart Service Systems Process.

The advanced management suite tools when used by automotive repair shops will help them maintain a consistent business process in their day-to-day operations. From the time the consumer enters the repair facility for service, the DS series product goes into action. Using these tools, the shop will have access to vehicle maintenance schedules, enhanced vehicle walk around routines and factory service bulletins all with the click of a button. Delphi has also made several enhancements to its diagnostic products, including a unique Oxygen sensor test that will help isolate and identify issues with this critical vehicle sensor. "Delphi's vehicle specific data base that is used in support of Delphi's patented Driver Seat Diagnostic process has increased by over 19 million vehicles in the last 12 months," said Russ Bailey, managing director, Delphi Integrated Service Solutions. "That means technicians will have access to Delphi vehicle specific diagnostic information for over 90 percent of the most common vehicles on the road today."

Additional enhancements to the Delphi vehicle interface software assist both the consumer and repair shop in identifying issues with the on-board computer system during the vehicle check in process.
