Suzuki Announces October 2003 Sales

BREA, Calif., Nov. 3, 2003 -- American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) sold 4,307 vehicles in October, a nine percent decrease from 2002 calendar year-to-date sales. The new midsize Suzuki Verona sedan posted 535 units in its second month of sales. The XL-7 posted 1,674 sales, the Grand Vitara notched 622 sales for the month and the Vitara posted 479 sales. Aerio sedan and SX marked 994 sales for the month.

The Automotive Division of ASMC, Brea, Calif., was founded in 1985 by Suzuki Motor Corporation. ASMC markets automobiles in the United States through a network of more than 460 automotive dealerships in 49 states. ASMC's parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), based in Hamamatsu, Japan, is a diversified worldwide automobile manufacturer. Founded in 1909 and incorporated in 1920, SMC has 141 distributors in 127 countries.
