L-3 Communications announced on November 3, 2003, that its Integrated Systems division (L-3 IS) has been awarded $63.2 million in sole source task orders by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract. Under the terms of the contract, L-3 IS will provide service life extension maintenance support for 33 Special Operations Aviation A/MH-6M Little Bird helicopters and Bare Base Sets to the U.S. Army. The values of the task orders for the Service Life Extension Program and the Bare Base Sets are $5 million and $58.2 million, respectively.
