Flying Lizard - Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Podium

Flying Lizard Motorsports maintained its podium momentum with a second-place
GT finish in the final Rolex Sports Car Series race of the season, held Nov. 1
in Daytona Beach, Fla. Although it was the first race with the Flying Lizard
name, it was the third-consecutive podium for the car, drivers and crew, who
competed in two previous races with the support of RennWerks Motorsports.

Seth Neiman of Burlingame, Calif., Lonnie Pechnik of Pacific Grove, Calif.,
and Johannes van Overbeek of San Francisco turned in a strong performance in
the No. 83 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. They started from the GT pole position, earned
by van Overbeek's lap of one minute 54.292 seconds on the 3.56-mile Daytona
International Speedway infield road course. The trio stayed first or second in
class through most of the two-hour 45-minute race.

Each driver led the class during his stint, with van Overbeek driving the
first hour, Neiman the second stint and Pechnik the final hour. All three noted
the power of the class-winning Ferrari, which stopped Flying Lizard's charge
to win the Rolex Series GT manufacturer championship for Porsche.

Lonnie Pechnik

"I just tried to keep the tires underneath the car because there were so many
crashes, there were parts of cars everywhere. I tried to stay with [the
Ferrari] and keep the gap constant. But they were strong! It was the strongest
we've seen them run. At the end, we were both on reserve fuel. On the
cool-down lap, I ran the oval [rather than the longer road course] to avoid pushing
the car back. I'm disappointed we didn't bring it home first, but we know what
we need to do for next year."

Johannes van Overbeek

"Everybody pulled together and the results were great. The crew chief Tommy
Sadler has really grown into his role as the team leader, which was evident in
the flawless pitstops and the organization of the crew. Our chief engineer
Craig Watkins worked his magic getting the car set up for the tricky
conditions. Thomas Blam, as usual, did a stellar job on strategy. That makes the
difference between finishing at the back and finishing at the front. I'm honored to
be part of such a successful and well-run effort."

Seth Neiman

"We are very happy with our first time out, though not entirely satisfied
with the result. Thanks to Shoreline and Brocade for their support in getting us
here - they are excited about what this bodes for next season. It would have
been great to close the season by winning the manufacturer championship for
Porsche, but the Ferrari had a little more pace in the last stint. The track
came to them, things got cool and they picked up a little pace. It was a
well-deserved win for them."
