CarParts Technologies Secures Exclusive North American Distribution of Autopart Jobber Management System from MAMsoft UK Ltd.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.--Oct. 3, 20031, 2003--Autopart Jobber Management System Completes CarParts Technologies Integrated Product Offering for Three-Step Parts Distribution |
CarParts Technologies Inc. (CPT), the leading provider of open, eCommerce and business automation software solutions for the North American automotive aftermarket, today announced it has secured the exclusive North American distribution and marketing rights to MAM Software Limited's (MAM) Autopart Jobber Management System.
MAM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Auto Data Network Inc., a fast-growing UK-based automotive software company. MAM recently established its own distribution relationship with MAM North America to enter the U.S. market, but concluded that working with CPT provided an accelerated entry into the U.S. market and leveraged the service capabilities CPT was already providing. As part of this agreement, CPT will now offer Autopart, MAM's Jobber Management System, to wholesale and retail parts stores.
"Awarding distribution rights for Autopart to CPT was a strategic decision," said Chris Glover, CEO of Auto Data Network Inc. "CPT already enjoys a strong and established brand in the North American aftermarket. Given their 3,000+ installations and existing product portfolio, adding Autopart to their portfolio will enable both CPT and MAM to jointly sell, deploy and support an integrated system."
"MAM UK engineering has already developed the integration of Autopart, including electronic restocking orders, with our OpenWebs Commerce Server and our widely installed DirectStep Warehouse Distribution Management System," said Dave McCann, CEO of CarParts Technologies. "This enables us to offer the most modern integrated combination of Windows-based Warehouse, eCommerce, and Jobber systems for three-step distributors around the country looking to improve order management and application ease of use."
"We're pleased to see this powerful product platform, Autopart, now part of CPT," said Sam Cracraft, president of Sacramento TBA. "We were extremely impressed with having a leading-edge tool for productivity and customer service and we're now fully live in all our locations. The combination of MAM and CPT will only add to the high standards of customer support and offers us the opportunity to take advantage of CPT's eCommerce services for connection to repair shops using VAST and OpenWebs."
