(Oct. 29,2003) - Andretti Green Racing announced today it has renewed contract agreements with bath Klein Tmls, Inc. and Jim Beam Brands Con for the 2004 lndy Racing League (IRL) IndyCarTM Series season. The two companies operated as ccl-major sponsors of Dan Wheldon's #26 Honda-powered Dallara this past season beginning with t h e 87'h running of the Indianapolis 500. Wheldon carried the Klein ToolslJim Beam colors to five top-five and eight top-10 finishes en route to winning the 2003 IndyCar Sarles Rookie-of-the-Year title. "Klein Tools and Jim Beam are very valuable members of our team," said Michael Andretti, team owner and chief executive officer af Andretti Green Racing. "They are both very aggressive in the activation of their sponsorships. Whether it is the employee recognition and relationship development approach utilized by Klein Tmls to activate superior quality products or the in-market promotions from Jim Beam -- they do a tremendous job supporting our team." Klein Tools has been involved in matorspods sin- 1994 when it became an associate sponsor of driver Jacques Villenauve, who won the 1995 Indianapolis 500 and also a CART championship that season. Klein Tools continued 3s a sponsor of Team Green through 2002 and then moved into the role of obrnajw sponsor last season on Wheldon's car while continuing at the associate sponsor level on the other Andretti Green Racing machlnes. Jim Beam Brands Co. first ventured into motorsports in 2002 when they partnered with Team Green and drivers Dario Franchitti and Paul Tracy for the 86' running of the lndienapalis 500 and then continued throughout the sea5011 as an associate sponsor on both cars. In addition to its support of Whaldon's effort this past season, Jim Beam also served a5 an associate sponsor of Andretti Green Racing's other IndyCar Series entries. With their contract renewals, Klein Tools and Jim Beam join 7-Eleven, Inc., which announced earlier this month it was returning to Andretti Green Racing as the primary sponsor of the #I 1 Team 7-Eleven DallaralHondalFirestone. Andretti, Klm Green and Kevin Savoren formed Andretti Green RaCing in Decsmber 2002.
