Federman & Sherwood Announces a Securities Class Action Was Filed Against Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 28, 2003 -- On October 23, 2003, a Securities Class action was filed on behalf of shareholders of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. ("Goodyear") for the class period from October 22, 1998 through October 22, 2003. The lawsuit alleges that Goodyear issued false and misleading earnings thereby causing Goodyear shares to trade at artificially inflated levels. The lawsuit further alleges that Goodyear announced that it would restate its financial results for the years 1998-2002 resulting in a decrease in net income over $100 million.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of the Class. If you are a member of the Class as described above, you may move the Court no later than sixty (60) days from October 23, 2003, to serve as a lead plaintiff for the Class. However, in order to do so, you must meet certain legal requirements pursuant to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
