Are You Ready for Thrills, Exhilaration and Excitement? Put Your Pedal To The Metal at CIR in Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., Oct. 28, 2003 -- Get ready to race when the first flag goes down at Chicago Indoor Racing, 301 Hastings Drive, Buffalo Grove, Illinois, on Thursday, October 30th at 4 o'clock p.m.

The 85,000 square foot facility houses Stewart's Bar and Grille overlooking the racetrack action (CIR's version of the 19th hole), billiards and virtual reality games, multi-function conference rooms with state-of-the- art technology and internet access, complete catering facilities for business meetings and social events, and, of course, two of the country's most exciting racing tracks.

Former British racer, Tony Stewart, designed this innovative and exciting entertainment venue. Racers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. The karts are literally inches off the ground and travel at speeds up to 30 miles per hour with the sensation of more than double that number. You can race for a little as $25, including a practice session and multi-lap race.

Safety is first and foremost. Prospective drivers attend a detailed safety briefing, "suit up" in gear, neck brace and helmet and then take to the track for the adrenaline rush of a lifetime. CIR provides the thrill of wheel to wheel racing in specially designed karts that allow racers to go fast enough to experience the thrill of the sport, but not fast enough to cause injury to themselves or others. Safety barriers surround the track and professionally trained staff is available for help when needed. Following the race, drivers receive a printed report detailing their performance.

Stewart's Bar and Grille, a perfect pit stop, offers the fine food and premium liquor that customers of award winning Catering by Michael's have grown accustomed to. The varied menu was designed by Brett Stein, executive chef at Catering by Michael's and winner of the coveted Jean Banchet award for culinary excellence.

Chicago Indoor Racing is open 7-days a week. Parking is plentiful and all major credit cards are accepted. It is located 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and 15 minutes from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
