Testing Expo North America Comes To Town Courtesy Of UK And International Press Events; The Brits Are Coming!

NOVI, Mich.--Oct. 2, 20037, 2003--A major new automotive industry trade show opens its doors this week in Novi and it's down to a UK company that it's being staged here. The event organizers, whose home base in England is the oddly named town of Dorking, are staging TESTING EXPO NORTH AMERICA, a major automotive Test Engineering and Quality Assurance show, which has attracted more than 180 mainly US exhibitors.

Commenting on the decision to bring the show into the Detroit region the company's founder and CEO Tony Robinson says, "this is a major show in Europe that takes place every year and many of our exhibitors have really got behind us to bring the show into the American market." Testing Expo is a very focused automotive industry event that deals with highly expensive equipment used to determine component reliability and performance and also to evaluate the likely reliability of the entire automobile. "It's a huge and incredibly important part of the automotive business," says Robinson, "and this show is 100% dedicated to those technologies."

Exhibitors can offer complete test rigs that will simulate 100,000 road miles in a matter of days, crash test evaluation and crash test analysis equipment and all manner of equipment for checking the safety and reliability of newly introduced components. In many respects you can call it a show for ensuring the quality of newly designed vehicles to avoid amongst other things those dreaded recalls.

John Bowen, Executive Director, of the Novi Expo says, "we're really pleased to be hosting this show at Novi. Having seen it taking place in Stuttgart earlier this year I can vouch for the fact that it's a highly regarded automotive industry event and the plan is for it to be held annually here in Novi every October."

The show opens on Wednesday 29 October 2003 and runs through Friday 31 October when the Brits that are organizing it will take to the air (though not, they promise, on broomsticks) to return to the UK.
