Quincy Jones & XM Satellite Radio to Hold Press Conference As Part of XM Radio's 1 Millionth Customer Celebration

Legendary record producer Quincy Jones will join XM Satellite Radio, America's #1 satellite radio service, for a major press conference on Tuesday, November 4, as part of a celebration of XM's milestone of 1 million subscribers.

The day-long celebration will include live music and stand-up comedy by some of today's most acclaimed performers, a high-tech display of XM radios for the car, home, computer, and on the go, and a collection of several of the more than 80 new 2004 vehicles equipped with XM Radio.

The press conference will take place at 12:30 p.m. ET at XM Radio's state- of-the-art broadcast studios in Washington, D.C. at 1500 Eckington Place NE near the intersection of New York Avenue and Florida Avenue, located one mile north of Union Station. Food and drink will be served.

XM Radio, which offers 101 digital radio channels of music, news, sports, and entertainment from coast to coast, recently announced that had recently surpassed the 1-million-subscriber mark.

The press conference will feature Mr. Jones, one of the most respected and influential members of the music industry worldwide, who will make remarks and introduce XM's President and CEO Hugh Panero. Following Mr. Panero's remarks, XM will host an open house and live performances for members of the press and other VIPs.

Artists scheduled to perform live throughout the afternoon represent the extraordinary range of programming available on XM Radio. Among those slated to appear are Grammy-winning jazz artist Cassandra Wilson, best-new-artist Grammy winner and acclaimed singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne, two-time Grammy winner and renowned country artist Marty Stuart, chart-topping R&B innovator Musiq, explosive blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and stand-up comedian Lewis Black of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
