Volvo's ATLAS System Leverages G-Log's GC3 Software Delivering More Cost-Effective Solutions by Optimizing Transportation and Logistics
SHELTON, Conn., Oct. 27 -- G-Log, the leading provider of global logistics and transportation software, today announced that Volvo Logistics Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AB Volvo, has selected the G-Log(R) Global Command and Control Center(TM) (GC3(TM)) software as the cornerstone of its new inbound logistics system, ATLAS -- Advanced Transport Logistics for Automotive Supply. The ATLAS system will provide a single information base where all Volvo Logistics customers, suppliers, and transportation partners can access the system via the Internet and have up-to- the-minute data about all material flows worldwide. Phase one of the three- phase Volvo Logistics project will go live during the spring of 2004.
