In its first season of SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT Championship competition,
BMW Team PTG captured two seconds: a second-place finish for BMW in the
Speed GT Manufacturer's Championship and a second for Bill Auberlen in the
Driver's Championship.

The 10-race Speed GT season brought BMW four pole positions, five fastest
race laps and three race wins.

Behind Auberlen in second in the Driver's Championship were Hans Stuck
in fourth, Boris Said sixth and Justin Marks seventh.

BMW Team PTG experienced a second disappointing weekend in a row and its
second straight non-podium finish in the final and 10th round of the 2003
SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT Championship race at the Isla Grand Prix Circuit in
San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Hans Stuck scored the best BMW M3 finish of fourth, with Auberlen just
behind him in fifth. Stuck's pass of Auberlen on lap 24 of the 36-lap race
was the only pass within the top five in the entire race.

Justin Marks finished eighth and Boris Said dropped out of the race on lap
13 with a driveline failure.

Randy Pobst in an Audi won the race on the 1.6-mile, 10-turn circuit.

Today's race is scheduled for broadcast on Speed Channel on Saturday, Nov.
15, at 5:00 p.m. ET.

HANS STUCK, NO. 8 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (fourth):
"I did the most I could today. I want to thank my crew for doing such a
wonderful job for me this season. I think James (Stevens, No. 8 car chief)
and Stephen (Becka, crew member) take as good care of me as they do their
own families."

BILL AUBERLEN, NO. 7 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (fifth):
"Disappointing, but you cannot win every race. BMW and Team PTG are
wonderful to work with and my thanks to them for another season behind the
wheel on an M3."

JUSTIN MARKS, NO. 80 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (eighth):
"I had a great season with BMW Team PTG and loved driving my M3. I had a
tough time moving through some of the slower traffic and was forced off the
track at one point. I have never worked harder to move back up. With my
eighth-place finish I have moved to seventh in the points."

BORIS SAID, NO. 6 BMW TEAM PTG M3 (18th):
"It was a tough day as I picked up a vibration in the driveline early in the
race. The rear wheels began to lock up around the 10th lap and soon I was
out of the race. It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season for
me. My thanks to BMW and Team PTG."
