Diaz's Qualifying Time Disallowed

DIAZ¹S QUALIFYING TIME DISALLOWED

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico ‹ Jorge Diaz, Jr., who timed third for today¹s Puerto
Rico Grand Prix Motorock Trans-Am Tour for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup race,
lost his qualifying time due to a rules infraction discovered in
post-qualifying technical inspection. Diaz¹s No. 8 Don Q Rum Jaguar XKR was
found in violation of Rule 2.20.1 ³Vehicle Weight Limits and Adjustments² in
the Trans-Am General Regulations and Technical Specifications.

Diaz will start 23rd on the grid today, while each driver in the field will
move up one position. Diaz also loses the one bonus point he earned for
qualifying in the top three.
