BOBBY SAK SETS FASTEST TIME IN FOURTH ROUND AT PUERTO RICO
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico Bobby Sak continued his march to the front at the
Puerto Rico Grand Prix as he set the fastest time in third-round practice
for Sundayıs Motorock Trans-Am Tour for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup race in San
Juan. Sak, whoıs usual No. 10 Revolution Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette
suffered damage during qualifying, hopped into father and team owner Don
Sakıs No. 2 Corvette and turned in a 1:05.604-minute lap at 87.800 miles per
hour.
In fact, Sak, who qualified second earlier in the day, set the second
fastest lap all weekend, just a tick off Scott Pruettıs 1:05.471-minute pole
speed in the No. 7 Motorock/Jaguar R Performance XKR. Jorge Diaz, Jr. (No. 8
Don Q Rum Jaguar XKR), Michael Lewis (No. 12 Westward Tools Available at
Grainger Jaguar XKR), Wally Castro (No. 3 Puerto Rico Lottery Jaguar XKR)
and John Baucom (No. 86 MAP Quality Engineering Jaguar XKR) completed the
top five.
³We wanted to scrub in tires and feel out the balance between the two cars,²
said Sak. ³Iım pretty pleased with the run and I am looking forward to
tomorrowıs race.²
Tomorrowıs Puerto Rico Grand Prix, Round 11 and the season finale for the
Motorock Trans-Am Tour for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup, is scheduled to start
at 2 p.m. AST. The race will air LIVE on PEE Channel at 1 p.m. EST.
