Ruhlman third in first Practice session at
Puerto Rico Grand Prix
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRACTICE 1 ROUND 11 TRANS-AM TOUR RESULTS
RANDY RUHLMAN
Quick Facts from Puerto Rico:
Top Trans-Am driver Randy Ruhlman scores third in the first practice at the
Grand Prix of Puerto Rico. Running second for most of the session behind
the 2003 Champion Scott Pruett, Ruhlman and Pruett ended the session second
and third. Tomy Drissi shot from behind just before the checkered flag and
scored the fastest lap on the first of two scheduled practice sessions
today.
³This track is really tight!!! And a lot of work!. It is going to be a VERY
interesting race out there. The track of course is still dirty and super
slippery since no one has ever raced on it before. The car is good, but
traffic is going to be a big factor", says Ruhlman.
³It looks like Cleveland on paper, but unlike the wide open track there,
this is way tighter than it looks. It is pretty humid today, too and the
heat is up, so if that continues it could play a big part in the race, since
you are so busy shifting and turning and braking. I can see a lot of
fatigue on some of these guys, if they are not careful."
Ruhlman finished with a time of 1:08.248 in the Preformed Line
Product/Coyote Closure Chevrolet Corvette.
