Saturn Electronics & Engineering - Oxford Plant To Receive DaimlerChrysler Gold Award on October 24

OXFORD, Mich., Oct. 22, 2003 -- On Friday, October 24, DaimlerChrysler representatives will present the DaimlerChrysler Gold Award to team members at Saturn's Oxford plant. The presentation will be made at 11:00 a.m. during the facility's Autumn Gold Gala -- an employee appreciation celebration and luncheon. The DaimlerChrysler Gold Award is presented annually by DaimlerChrysler's Purchasing and Quality Departments for outstanding performance in quality, delivery, technology, customer service and pricing.

"Since 1995, when the plant was acquired by Saturn, the Oxford Plant has achieved four Gold Awards," said John Morgan, Oxford Operations Manager. "This demonstrates our commitment to our customers and to continuous improvement in quality and performance."

In a letter to the Operations Manager, DaimlerChrysler states, "the achievement places your plant [Oxford Plant] among our highest rated supplier locations."
