Linear Technology Receives Automotive Quality System Certification
MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 21, 2003 -- Linear Technology Corporation today announced that it has been independently certified to meet the quality requirements of the automotive industry worldwide. With the award of the TS16949 Quality Management System for Automotive Suppliers, Linear Technology becomes one of the first semiconductor companies certified to meet the demanding requirements of the automotive industry in the US, Europe and Asia. In addition, Linear Technology has also been certified as compliant with ISO9001: 2000, the highest level of quality certification presented to companies.
The certification of Linear Technology was completed by TUV Management Service GmbH of Munich, Germany. TUV conducted a thorough audit of Linear Technology and determined that the company meets the international quality standards of the automotive industry.
