PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 20 -- If you bought your car, truck or van new, the years may have slipped by almost without you noticing. Here are ten ways to tell if your vehicle is ready for donation to the Kidney Cars Program. You know your car is old when:

  10. It has a "Wilson Goode for Mayor" bumper sticker on it.
  9. Your fuzzy dice aren't fuzzy anymore.
  8. It has an eight-track player in it.
  7. You find a ticket stub from opening day at Veterans Stadium.
  6. The Franklin Institute opens an antique exhibit - your car is
       featured.
  5. You hold your breath every time you try to start it.
  4. To avoid stalling out you don't make a complete stop at traffic
       signals.
  3. Your favorite memories of your car are at the drive-in.
  2. The only way into your car is through the passenger side door.
  1. You got your car loan through PSFS.

If your car fits this profile call Kidney Cars at 1-800-488-CARS or visit www.Kidneycars.org. Donations of newer cars are greatly appreciated, but any vehicle can help save lives through Kidney Cars. It doesn't even have to run. The vehicle does have to be whole, and have a clear title. One phone call and it's towed away free. You'll also get a tax deduction receipt. Proceeds from the vehicle sales help the National Kidney Foundation fund services for kidney disease and transplant patients right here in the Delaware Valley. Many organizations accept vehicle donations these days, but with more than ten years' experience the NKF's Kidney Cars is America's favorite way to donate a car, truck or boat.
