Perceptron Announces Settlement of LMI Legal Actions

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Oct. 20, 2003 -- Perceptron, Inc. announced that it and LMI Technologies, Inc. (LMI) have settled all previously announced pending legal disputes in Ontario, Canada, and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

As part of the settlement, Perceptron and LMI have agreed to cross license certain intellectual property that was the subject of the disputes.

Alfred A. Pease, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Perceptron, commented, "We are happy to have this matter behind us and to have reached a resolution that is fair to both parties."
