Envirokare Tech Inc. Elects Third Industry Leader as Director

ORLANDO, Fla.--Oct. 1, 20036, 2003--Dr. Nicholas Pappas, recently elected Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENVIROKARE TECH INC. (OTCBB:ENVK), has announced the election of Dr. E. Gary Cook as a Director. This is the third major appointment in less than a month, bringing together experienced industry professionals to commercialize Envirokare's TPF(TM) process.

Dr. Cook was with E.I Dupont for 23 years, serving in a number of senior management positions including, Vice President of Medical Products, Vice President and General Manager of Publishing and Printing, and Vice President-Corporate Plans.

He joined Ethyl Corporation as Senior Vice President and President-Chemicals Group and Director in 1992, becoming President and Chief Operating Officer of Albemarle Corporation when the Chemicals Group was spun off from Ethyl. He later was named Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Witco Corporation in 1996, serving in that capacity until the merger of Witco and Crompton and Knowles in 1999, at which time he was named Chairman of the merged company, CK Witco.

Dr. Cook has served on numerous industry association boards, including those of the Chemical Manufacturers Association, the Soap and Detergent Association, the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, and the Health Industry Manufacturers Association. He is currently a director of Trimeris Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, a building products company. Dr. Cook is also currently serving as Executive Chairman of Integrated Environmental Technologies, LLC, a private company providing proprietary waste-to-energy and waste-to-hydrogen systems.

Dr. Cook earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and University.

Envirokare, under an exclusive license, is a marketer of the state-of-the-art TPF composite technology developed by Thermoplastic Composite Designs, Inc. (TCD). The proprietary TPF process features in-line compounding and automated low-pressure material delivery systems, providing high long strand survivability rate and part forming of long-fiber reinforced large structural parts. The license provides for use of the TPF technology to develop, produce, sub-license and market a wide array of products. Envirokare holds an irrevocable option to cause its ECC subsidiary to merge with TCD, pursuant to a merger agreement entered into by the parties.
