Local UK Government Agencies to Complete Testing on Auto Q's eGuard Systems Valued at More Than $150,000 USD

LONDON, Oct. 16, 2003 -- Auto-Q International Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: AUTQ) , a leading provider of vehicle tracking and monitoring systems for trucking fleets and consumers, announced today that 7 Local UK Government Agencies are completing testing on 94 eGuard units valued at more than $150,000 USD. eGuard prices range from $1,350 USD to $2,000 USD per unit depending on the facilities required.

The 7 Local UK Government Agencies are expected to complete purchase orders at a minimum of 100 eGuard units each. The last trial is scheduled to be completed by February 7, 2004. The eGuard products are mainly for track and trace, which allows the Auto Q customers to track where their vehicles are and where they've been. In addition, there is a facility to have 24/7 theft monitoring. eGuard is a modular product and Auto Q International customers can have additional facilities like voice communication, text messaging, satellite navigation, proof of delivery with signature capture etc. Local UK Governments have large mixed fleets of trucks, vans and cars.

Recently in the UK, there has been pressure on local governments to be accountable for delivery of all services including highway gritting and snow clearance, garbage collection, street cleaning, road repairs, street lighting, gulley emptying etc. FleetTrak can monitor when, where and what was done by the vehicle. Local governments are now expected to be able to prove work done and when. They work to contract specifications for both in-house and private contractors. They are also expected to defend claims for loss or damage to property alleged to be done by their vehicles.

Auto Q International Inc.'s FleetTrak product is the eGuard combined with vehicle and driver performance monitoring. Activities being monitored include fuel consumption, speeding, idling, overrevving, severe braking, use of gritter, gulley emptier etc. FleetTrak prices range from $2400 to $4800.

Auto-Q's CEO, Paul Spetch, commented "We are pleased to partner with the various UK Government Agencies to prevent theft and defend claims for loss or damage. We look forward to their continued business."

Auto-Q's FleetTrak system can produce 5-10% fuel saving across a typical mixed fleet, which quickly adds up to savings that eventually more than pays for the installation of the system. The system provides the operator with a safeguard against risky or impatient driving and the potentially disastrous results.
