Students from Texas A&M and Texas State Univ., San Marcos Accept National Award from AAA Texas for Programs to Reduce Incidents of Driving under the Influence

Who: AAA Texas presents $1,000 awards to Texas A&M University Department of Student Life and the SWAT program of Texas State University, San Marcos. What: The U.S. Department of Education's National Meeting on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse in Higher Education will be kicked off with the presentation of awards to Texas A&M and Texas State University, San Marcos. The universities have won regional prizes in the annual, AAA Higher Education Center's College and University Drinking and Driving Prevention Awards program. Universities in 6 western states compete for a $5,000 first prize and regional awards of $1,000 each.
