MEDIA NOTES:
* Alex (Alessandro) Zanardi
Born: October 23, 1966, in Bologna, Italy
* This one-off appearance in the final round of the 2003 FIA European
Touring Car Championship marks the first competitive outing in a race car
for Zanardi since he lost both of his legs while taking part in the CART
Series' German 500 at Lausitz EuroSpeedway on September 15, 2001.
* The BMW has been specially modified for him and this ride was made
possible by Ravaglia Motorsport, which campaigns the BMW Team Italy-Spain
entries in the series.
* Zanardi will be driving alongside BMW Team Italy-Spain regular drivers
Fabrizio Giovanardi and Antonio Garcia.
* BMW needs just two points to clinch the Manufacturers' title, and the
battle for the Drivers' Championship is between BMW Deutschland's Jörg
Müller, BMW Team Great Britain's Andy Priaulx and Autodelta's Gabriele
Tarquini and Nicola Larini.
