Sumitomo Wiring Systems (USA) Inc. and Danlaw Announce Successful Oracle 11i e-Business Suite Implementation
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 15, 2003 -- Sumitomo Wiring Systems (USA) Inc., is the US reseller and marketer for Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd. a leading manufacturer of Automotive Wiring products, announced today the successful implementation of the Oracle 11i e-Business Suite at their facilities in Southfield, Michigan and El Paso, Texas. Sumitomo Wiring Systems is striving to improve product reliability by promoting research and development on components such as terminals and housings, and thus to create a "total wiring system."

The Oracle 11i e-Business Suite replaced the legacy "Portfolio" system to manage Sumitomo's financials, sales and distribution applications. Recent growth in Sumitomo Wiring Systems' business and expanded operations yielded performance problems with their legacy system. This, coupled with the need to allow for future expansion, led to the upgrade of its hardware and ERP system. The Oracle Implementation project was designed to introduce leading business practices supported by the Oracle e-Business Suite with minimal customizations.
SWS (USA)'s Information Systems subsidiary, SWS America Information Systems, Inc., selected Danlaw Technologies as their partner for the implementation of the Oracle 11i e-Business Suite.
