The Three Red Bull Winners Are All 'Skippy Guys'
LAKEVILLE, Conn. (Oct. 15) - The votes are in, the best three picked: the Red Bull Driver
Search final run-off was October 14, and the five judges - Danny Sullivan, Dr. Helmut Marko,
Alan Docking, Bertram Schafer and Roberto Cavallari - chose Colin Fleming, Matt Jaskol and
Dominique Claessens. Each has Skip Barber Racing in one form or another on their racing
resumes.
The aim of the now two-year-old Red Bull program is to find American drivers who can succeed
in Europe and relatively quickly ascend to the ranks of Formula 1. This year's assessment
concluded with two days of testing at Portugal's famed Estoril Circuit in British F3 cars prepared
by Alan Docking Racing. In the coming weeks, decisions will be made regarding which
European junior formula each will enter in 2004, driving for the Red Bull Junior Team.
