Automakers to exhibit environment-tech cars

TOKYO October 15, 2003; Japan Today reported that major Japanese automakers unveiled Tuesday outlines of the exhibits they plan to stage at next week's Tokyo Motor Show, with many intending to showcase passenger cars featuring environmental and information technologies.

The 37th Tokyo Motor Show, to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, will showcase some 600 passenger cars and motorcycles from about 60 domestic and overseas manufacturers. The event will open its doors to the media on Oct 22 and 23, hold a opening ceremony on Oct 24 and run from Oct 25 to Nov 5. (Kyodo News)
