Stronghold Technologies Announces New Customer Contract with First Lexus Dealership
BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--Oct. 14, 2003--Stronghold Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:SGHT), the developer of DealerAdvance(TM), an enterprise software system leveraging wireless technologies for the automotive retail industry, today announced the signing of Lexus of Roseville to a three-year contract. Located in Roseville, California, the dealership is Stronghold's 28th customer in the state. Securing Lexus of Roseville as a customer was aided by the recommendation of the dealership's business development manager who had previously used DealerAdvance(TM) at Future Ford of Roseville, one of the largest Ford dealerships in California.Lexus of Roseville held its grand opening in May 20, 200303. Stronghold installed DealerAdvance(TM) for use by over 15 salespeople and managers located in the showroom and at the business development center. A driver's license scanning station for detailed and accurate customer information capture is integrated with the system. Stronghold customized the software and related components to the requirements of the customer, and regularly modifies the system to optimize performance.
"We know of no CRM provider that can rival Stronghold's technology, customer support and client/vendor communication," said Patrick McKeehan, General Manager of Lexus of Roseville. "Simply put, Stronghold understands what dealers need to drive performance and they consistently deliver.
"We built this dealership from the ground up and hired the best people we could find to staff it. They recommended using DealerAdvance(TM) because they had positive experiences with the system at other California dealerships. We then conducted a comprehensive review of seven CRM providers. After thorough consideration and analysis, there was no question that we had to have Stronghold. Stronghold has a sizable technological advantage over competing products, and nobody comes close to matching their interaction with our dealership -- from training to on-site, dedicated customer support. They never stop thinking about their customers, which is evidenced by their phenomenal research and development that continues to improve their product."
The customer win marks Stronghold's initial penetration of Lexus, which has over 200 dealerships throughout the United States. According to the manufacturer, Lexus reported the best-ever sales month in its history with 26,410 units sold in August 2003, up 6.3 percent from the previous record set in December 2002 and up 13.5 percent from the same period last year. In addition to record-breaking monthly sales in August, Lexus calendar-year-to-date sales were up 4.9 percent, to 167,065.
"Winning Lexus of Roseville as a customer confirms that even dealerships for luxury automobile manufacturers with record breaking sales recognize the positive contribution Stronghold can make toward improving business performance," said Christopher Carey, Chief Executive Officer of Stronghold. "With recent enhancements to DealerAdvance(TM) announced last week with the release of Version 3.3, we are more confident than ever that our system will deliver results for our dealership customers. Given the progress made in developing our product and creating heightened dealership awareness of Stronghold, we are well positioned to continue gaining share of the automotive retail market."
