The Battle For Yopuir Ears Heats Up - Experimental Digital Radio Broadcasts In Tokyo and Osaka

TOKYO October 11, 2003; Japan Today reported that radio stations in Tokyo and Osaka on Friday began experimenting with terrestrial digital broadcasting services that offer compact-disk-quality audio and data broadcasts.

The experiments, which air music and other programs for an average nine hours per day, will pave the way for full-scale services due to begin in 2011. (Kyodo News)
