                       7-ELEVEN RENEWS SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT
WITH ANDRETTI GREEN RACING FOR 2004

FORT WORTH, Texas (Oct. 12, 2003) ? Officials with 7-Eleven, Inc.
announced Sunday the company renewed its sponsorship agreement with Andretti Green
Racing to serve as the primary sponsor of driver Tony Kanaan?s No. 11 Team 7-Eleven Indy
Racing League (IRL) IndyCar? Series entry for 2004.
7-Eleven was the primary sponsor for Kanaan this season, as well as for team owner
Michael Andretti, who drove in the first four races of the 2003 IndyCar Series season before
retiring after the Indianapolis 500 in May.
Kanaan, who enters the final race of the year ranked third in the IndyCar Series point
standings, carried the Team 7-Eleven livery to one win, nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes
during the first 15 events of 2003, while amassing 460 series points leading up to Sunday?s
series finale at Texas Motor Speedway.
?We had a great inaugural season with Michael, Tony, Team 7-Eleven and Andretti
Green Racing,? said Nancy Smith, vice president for 7-Eleven, Inc.  ?On behalf of 7-Eleven
employees across the country, we?re proud to continue as the title sponsor of Team 7-Eleven
and be part of this great American racing tradition.  We look forward to a fast start and a strong
finish for 2004.?
Andretti, who owns the team with partners Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, said he is
excited about the opportunity to build on what the team accomplished with 7-Eleven in 2003,
which marked its first year of competition.
?We want to be a competitive force in the Indy Racing League for a long time, and to do
that, you need continuity in your program,? said Andretti.  ?The support and endorsement we?re
getting from 7-Eleven through this agreement play a big role in that.  7-Eleven was a great
partner for my racing season finale in 2003, and we look forward to having them on board for
my first year as a full-time team owner.?
Kanaan, who is completing his first year in the IndyCar Series and sixth year of open-
wheel racing overall, echoed Andretti?s sentiments.
?We?re a new team, but we?re building something here,? said Kanaan. ?We feel like we?ve
accomplished quite a bit this season, but we?ve got a lot more to do.  We need strong,
supportive partners like 7-Eleven to reach our goals.  The 2004 season promises to be an
exciting one, both on the track and in the great promotions 7-Eleven is planning.?
