FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 9 -- Soccer fans gearing up for the October 12 FIFA Women's World Cup championship will have the chance to create some soccer action of their own with the "Hyundai Kick Grass Film Festival Contest" which hits the virtual field (or Web) today at www.hyundaisoccerfilms.com .
Official partner in the FIFA Women's World Cup, Hyundai hopes to continue the excitement this year's tournament has created by hosting an online contest at www.hyundaisoccerfilms.com where fans can create a short, animated soccer film and compete to win prizes.
The Web site provides easy-to-use editing tools where visitors will select the scene, characters and background music for their film and then add their own dialog to create a 15- to 30-second movie incorporating soccer and Hyundai into the theme.
"Directors" are encouraged to forward their movie to family and friends. The contest, beginning October 9, 2003 and ending April 1, 2004, will award one winner each month and post his or her name on the contest Web site. The movie with the most unique visitor viewings each month, wins. Monthly prizes range from MP3 players to car stereos to digital cameras. Upon the conclusion of the contest in April 2004, a panel of judges will determine a grand prize winner. The winner will choose his or her prize of either a home theater system, Tournament II Soccer table or flat screen TV.
