Dearborn Chamber of Commerce to Honor Ford Motor Company; Edsel Ford II Will Speak at Business Recognition Awards Luncheon
DEARBORN, Mich.--Oct. 9, 2003--The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce will honor Ford Motor Company with its annual business recognition award at a luncheon on November 19, 2003 at the Hyatt Regency-Dearborn. Edsel Ford II will receive the award on behalf of Ford and will speak on the subject of corporate responsibility. Lear Corporation is the presenting sponsor for the event."Even if this were not Ford's 100th anniversary, the company would be most worthy of this recognition," said event committee chairman Andrew Mazzara, president of Henry Ford Community College. "We are delighted that Henry Ford's great grandson will join us to accept the Chamber's tribute, once again demonstrating the commitment of the company and the family to the city of Dearborn."
Other companies and organizations that have joined Lear Corporation in sponsoring the awards luncheon are the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Siemens VDO Automotive, Young and Rubicam, and Standard Federal Bank.
