Embarcadero Systems Corp. Deploys VinTelligent System at CSX Florida Terminal
ALAMEDA, Calif.--Oct. 9, 2003--Embarcadero Systems Corporation (ESC) and CSX Technology (CSXT), a subsidiary of CSX Corporation (CSX), announced today the deployment of the VinTelligent(TM) system at the first of 20 "inbound" vehicle distribution centers within the CSX network.Embarcadero's VinTelligent(TM) system is a Web-based application that optimizes automobile handling at all points along the supply chain and accelerates automobile transportation throughout the distribution network. Deployment is systematically being phased-in at 30 CSX facilities and will be completed by mid-2004.

VinTelligent is a Web-based system to manage and track the movement of automobiles and heavy vehicles. The system is scalable to fit mid-sized to mega terminal operations. VinTelligent provides for wireless, hand-held Internet browser-based interfaces to the data, allowing personnel, customers, and vendors access to pertinent information anytime and anywhere.
