TROY, Mich., Oct. 8, 2003 -- Delphi Corp. has appointed John Guevara as the new Director of Global Infrastructure Services for Delphi. Guevara, previously chief information officer (CIO) of Delphi Mexico, will lead all activities related to Delphi infrastructure including Delphi's global network, mainframe and desktop systems, telecommunications and Delphi's IT security program. "We are excited to have John take on this responsibility," said Bette Walker, Delphi vice president and CIO. "He has been both aggressive and progressive in his use of technology to improve business efficiency in Mexico, and we count on that -- as well as his organizational leadership -- to build on the strong global infrastructure foundation Gary Robertson laid."

Since he joined Delphi as Mexico CIO in 2001, Guevara has implemented ideas, programs and processes that have made Mexico a regional model in terms of information technology. Prior to joining Delphi, he was Vice President of Information Systems at Siemens Group. He also has experience in IT customer service, product strategy, and technical consulting at various organizations. Guevara earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from St. Thomas Villanova University.

Taking on the acting role of CIO for the Delphi Mexico region is Pablo Serrano, previously Service Delivery and Customer Care Manager in the region.
