20-Year Foundry Veteran Joins the GMBOND Sand Binder Team at Hormel

AUSTIN, Minn.--Oct. 7, 2003--Hormel Foods Corporation announced that Greg Sanders has joined the company as a GMBOND(R) sales agent.

Mr. Sanders comes to Hormel from FATA Aluminium, Inc., where he was the national sales manager. He's also the founder of and director of technical services for Entelechy, Inc., a consulting firm that helps foundries reduce costs and develop effective processes. Prior to that, he spent almost ten years as a senior project engineer at the General Motors Technical Center, where he led development teams working on various sand casting processes.

"The GMBOND(TM) process is an exciting opportunity for the foundry industry to increase its competitiveness and efficiency," said Mr. Sanders. "I'm looking forward to working with the many foundries that are looking to improve their bottom lines."

"Greg adds deep industry knowledge and proven sales skills at a critical time for the GMBOND(TM) Process," said Paul Jacobson, director, Hormel Specialty Products Division. "With the launch of the demonstration project at GM's Saginaw plant and the first commercial sales of GMBOND(R), Greg will help take this to the next level of wider industry acceptance."

ABOUT GMBOND(R) SAND BINDER

GMBOND(R) Sand Binder is a protein-based binder that provides advanced thermal degradation and is non toxic. Since the GMBOND(R) Sand Binder is water soluble, it eliminates the need for bake out or mechanical hammering and can be reground and reused. Reclamation, disposal, and landfill costs are dramatically reduced. These properties provide benefits that, over the lifecycle of the coremaking process, make GMBOND(R) economically and environmentally attractive. For more information, see www.gmbond.com.
