                      ARCHIPELAGO/MOTOROLA DRIVER BRYAN HERTA
LOOKING TO FINISH THE SEASON STRONG AT TEXAS

                INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 7, 2003) ? Archipelago/Motorola driver Bryan
Herta will end the 2003 Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCarTM Series at the same track he made
his IRL debut only four months ago.  Texas Motor Speedway hosts the final race on the IndyCar
Series schedule and Herta comes into the event with victory lane on his mind.
A late race spin-and-save to avoid an accident added excitement to Herta?s first race in
the IndyCartm Series, as he was able to bring the Archipelago/Motorola car home in the fifth
position.  He has continued to run well, finishing in the top-five in half of the races in which he?s
competed.
It is also a special race for Herta?s Andretti Green Racing teammates.  Tony Kanaan
comes into the event with a chance to win the IndyCartm Series championship and Dan Wheldon
can claim Rookie-of-the-Year honors.  Though Herta?s first priority is to win the race, he will also
be keeping an eye out for his teammates to help them earn their titles.
Qualifying for the final race on the IndyCar Series calendar will take place Friday
evening at 7:30 p.m. (EDT). The 200-lap event is set for Sunday at 3:45 p.m. (EDT) and will be
broadcast live on ESPN.

Bryan Herta, #27 Archipelago/Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
?Obviously my job is to win the race.  For the Andretti Green Racing team, the biggest
thing is for Tony to win the championship.  With one race to go, we know that Helio
(Castroneves) and Scott (Dixon) will have their teammates helping them out and I will be
helping Tony out.  Hopefully it won?t come to that.  Hopefully I can win the race and Tony finish
second and win the championship.  Then everybody would be happy.  It is such a remote
possibility.  It is not something we are keying on.  It is more a case if, at the end of the race
things stack up, and we have the opportunity to help Tony, then they may call on me or Dan
(Wheldon) to do so. I?m looking forward to racing at Texas again.  We had a pretty good race
there in the Archipelago/Motorola car last June and now we are ready to get our second win.?

Kyle Moyer, Team Manager, Archipelago/Motorola
?We?ve had some really good cars coming down the stretch and nothing would be better
than for us to win the race and Tony to win the championship.  Bryan has done a tremendous
job for us all year starting back at the first Texas race where he finished in the top-five in his first
IndyCar Series race.?
