Two Chrysler Group Executives to Receive Automotive Hall of Fame Awards
Ralph V. Gilles and Michael F. Milad Receive Automotive Hall of Fame Young Leadership and Excellence Awards
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 7 -- Ralph V. Gilles and Michael F. Milad, two Chrysler Group executives, will be honored by the Automotive Hall of Fame 2003 with the Young Leadership and Excellence Awards. They will be inducted to the Automotive Hall of Fame as two of four Young Leadership and Excellence recipients tonight during the annual Automotive Fame Induction and Awards Celebration at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.
The Automotive Hall of Fame Young Leadership and Excellence Award recognizes men and women up to 35 years of age for their potential as future leaders in the automotive industry.
"Motivation and determination are the characteristics of great leaders," said Nancy Rae, Chrysler Group Senior Vice President, Human Resources. "Both Ralph and Michael are recognized throughout the organization for their great leadership skills."
Ralph V. Gilles, 33, Director of Design at the Chrysler Group, oversees 30 designers on a variety of vehicle concept and production programs and is fast building an impressive list of credits that include: lead interior designer of the Dodge Viper GTS/R, Dodge ESX2 and Jeep(R) Jeepster concept vehicles and production versions of the 2003 Dodge Viper and 2002 Jeep Liberty. His latest projects include the all-new 2005 Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum. Gilles joined the Company in 1992 and has held a series of increasingly responsible positions within Product Design. He holds a B.S. in Transportation Design from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and an MBA from Michigan State University.
Michael F. Milad, 35, is Senior Manager, Global Sales, Marketing and Service for the Chrysler Group's Southeast Regional Business Center in Orlando, Florida. Milad heads up the Sales, Service and Parts Team in six states (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama) and leads 500 Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep dealers. His prior assignments with the Chrysler Group include joining the Company in 1991 as a Financial Analyst to his most recent assignment as Executive to Dieter Zetsche, Chrysler Group President and CEO. Milad holds a B.A. in liberal arts, a master's degree in business from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit.
