Advanced Interconnect Technologies Wins Quality Award from Delphi Delco Electronics Systems; Company Receives ``2003 Absolute Zero Defect Award'' for Assembly of SOIC Packages

PLEASANTON, Calif.--Oct. 6, 2003--Advanced Interconnect Technologies, Inc. (AIT) today announced that Delphi Delco Electronics Systems has recognized the company for its flawless assembly of small outline integrated circuit (SOIC) packages. Delphi presented the "2003 Absolute Zero Defect Award" to AIT for consistent delivery of superior-quality products to its Power Train Division. Delphi's integrated systems and modules are designed to help simplify vehicle manufacturers' processes and meet the demands of today's high-tech vehicles.

The honor was granted to AIT for its assembly of more than 1 million failure-free SOIC packages per month for Delphi. AIT's SOICs, available in 8 to 28 lead counts, are designed for applications that require reduced size and are commonly used in electronic devices such as automotive systems. Other electronic devices that use SOICs include pagers, cordless phones, fax machines, copiers, printers, computer peripherals and A/V products.

The award, presented annually, is given to suppliers that demonstrate zero defects over a 12-month period based on the overall quality of product and the data collected by Delphi's quality organization. This year, Delphi selected 11 winners and AIT was one of only two packaging sub-contractors acknowledged.
